Ultimate photo quality is achieved
using HP color layering and up to 2400-dpi resolution.
1 Ultimate line quality, with lines as thin
as 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) and an accuracy of +/- 0.2%,
results from the printer's use of miniscule drops and a
continuous ink flow. Many more colors are available per
printed dot as the printer layers different color ink
drops over each other to create new colors. |

Unattended printing

The printer can work unattended with
its off-axis, 69-cc ink cartridges, long-life printheads,
150-ft (45-m) media rolls, automatic cutting, and
stacking of finished prints in the media bin [optional
on the 24-in. (61-cm) model]. The ink cartridges have
almost double the ink capacity of previous HP ink
cartridges in this category, and printheads last through
five to six ink-cartridge changes on average, depending
upon usage.
